The treatment as in the anamnesis is integral, the Osteopath treats the body as a whole at a general level where the neuro-musculoskeletal and functional balance is the main concern.
The hands are the Osteopath's main acting tool. Through manipulations, stretching, stretching and specific techniques of massage applied to the areas in imbalance are corrected the respective dysfunctions.
There is no "specific" area of intervention, because the whole organism of the patient must be balanced in the treatment of Osteopathy, which later awakens itself to a process of self healing, which we call homeostasis. In other words I can exemplify that when there is a blockage, joint, neurological, venous, or lymphatic the organ and area in question goes into pathological disharmony. By releasing these blocks the body assumes new functions for its self healing, without requiring other invasive intervention methods such as surgery, electrotherapy, chemicals, etc.
